Download Nomination Form                                                                                                                                                Download BrochureFor several years the Health District has recognized the outstanding food service establishments throughout the county by presenting a framed Gold Ribbon Award. These awards allow the Health District the opportunity to recognize excellent establishments in a very positive manner. The field sanitarians of the Health District nominate the eating establishment he/she feels meets exceptional standards of public food protection. Food establishments may also nominate themselves using the same nomination criteria. Criteria is based in part on:

• Few if any critical violations

• No valid complaints

• Cooperative attitudes

• A generally clean and tidy appearance

After going through an approval process, environmental management staff will examine the the nominated establishment's file and sanitation history. They then visit the nominee for an on-site evaluation of the operation.
