Time for seasonal flu shots

LA MARQUE — The Galveston County Health District is offering flu shots weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday at 1207 Oak St.

Residents also can get flu shots in the district’s immunization clinics in Galveston, Dickinson and Texas City.

Additional community flu shot clinics will be at:

• 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 W. Walker St., in League City;

• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Bacliff Senior Center, 4503 11th St., in Bacliff;

• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Dickinson Senior Center, 2714 state Highway 3, in Dickinson; and

• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Wayne Johnson Community Center, 4102 FM 519, in La Marque.
